Denise Barbut received her medical training in the United Kingdom, at the Hammersmith Hospital, the Brompton Hospital and the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases, Queen Square in London. Dr. Barbut is board certified in Internal Medicine and Neurology in the UK, and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Great Britain. Her former position was Associate Professor of Neurology and Director of the Stroke Research Program at Cornell University Medical College and Attending Physician at New York Hospital. She has published extensively in the fields of stroke and the neurologic complications of cardiac and vascular surgery. She is the founder of several companies including Coaxia, and is an expert in neuroprotective mechanisms and stroke. She has published over 100 papers and holds over 150 patents. |

From 1995-2000 Mr. Berman was the President of the Cardiology business of Boston Scientific. Mr. Berman received his BS and MBA degrees from Cornell University in 1979 and 1986, respectively. |

Noah Kroloff |
|
Noah Kroloff is a Partner at NGN Capital, a healthcare venture capital firm with offices in New York and Heidelberg.
Mr. Kroloff, who has 19 years experience in healthcare, most recently served as an executive officer at i-STAT Corporation, a publicly-traded medical device company where he was Vice President for International Sales & Marketing and Corporate Development. He was actively involved in the sale of i-STAT to Abbott Laboratories for approximately $450 million. He also led the creation of a global alliance with Abbott, a $61 million alliance with Hewlett-Packard Medical Products Group and i-STAT’s international distribution network. Prior to i-STAT, Mr. Kroloff was an Engagement Manager at McKinsey & Co. where he advised leading pharmaceutical and diagnostic companies on R&D management, portfolio strategy, and alliance formation. Prior to his work in healthcare, he was a senior analyst at Fannie Mae and an associate at Industrial Economics, Inc.
Mr. Kroloff received his BA in general science from Brandeis University and his MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management where he was a founder of and currently serves as a judge in the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition. He is a member of the board of BeneChill, Inc. and Coagulation Sciences LLC. |

Robert Brownell |

Mr. Brownell brings a broad range of business development, legal and management experience to BeneChill. His 18 years of professional experience include substantial counseling of life sciences companies, guiding them from inception to maturity. Mr. Brownell is active in the management of BeneChill and in overseeing its infrastructure.
Mr. Brownell received his BA from the University of California and a JD from the UCLA School of Law. |
